  • Vanessa lived in a cult house led by David. When she saw Tilly's son was born with one red, one blue eye and Henry was sent to retrieve him, she became fearful of what would happen to her unborn child. She asked Henry to take her into town to tell her dad, Detective Pope, that she was pregnant. While meeting with him, she informed him that she wanted out of the group and was scarred. She said she wouldn't leave until he could promise Tilly's safety as well. Tilly and Vanessa soon convinced Henry to drive them to town to meet with Detective Pope, Vanessa's father. They told him they were scarred and wanted out of the commune. Pope agreed to investigate. Later, Tilly told Vanessa she's distract Henry and went to his tent to sleep with him. Meanwhile, Vanessa was approached by David and entered labor with his child. Tilly helped and stayed by her. One night, Tilly prepared them to escape and Vanessa surprised her by announcing she changed her mind and wanted to stay on the commune.
