The first of two Grand Prix in Mario Kart Wii, the Nitro Grand Prix, is a series of four Cups made compromised of entirely new tracks to the game. So, with each cup containing four tracks, it offers the player 16 new courses to race on. The Nitro prix consists of the Mushroom Cup, the Flower Cup, the Star Cup, and the Special Cup. Mario Kart DS first introduced the idea of the Nitro courses when it introduced its new tracks. The specialty of the idea of the Nitro Grand Prix, would mean nothing, however, if it wasn't for the Retro Grand Prix, which are 16 courses from PREVIOUS Mario Kart games.
