Jharod is a healer who is usually found on level four of the Village Dungeon. He will completely heal the player - no matter their alignment - up to seven times. He also will teach the player the Healing skill if they prove their ability to show mercy. The best-known way to do that is to Save Yriggs, although there may be other ways as well. He is the subject of the Kill Jharod quest, assigned by Hotzenplotz under certain conditions.

Description
  • Jharod is a healer who is found on or around level four of the Village Dungeon. He will completely heal the player - no matter their alignment - up to seven times. This healing includes treatment of sickness or poison, which can otherwise be fatal if left untreated. This also leads to safe consumption of Kobold shaman corpses in early stages. He also will teach the player the Healing skill if they prove their ability to show mercy, and the PC is not chaotic. The best-known way to do that is to Save Yriggs. The PC may also demonstrate mercy by healing an injured monster. The PC may not have performed any hostile actions against the monster; unfortunately, throwing a healing potion counts as a hostile action for this purpose. Finally, the PC may demonstrate mercy by offering peace to three frightened monsters. The PC may not have performed any hostile actions against the monsters, but turning undead or casting Scare Monster do not count as hostile actions for this purpose. He is the subject of the Kill Jharod quest, assigned by Hotzenplotz under certain conditions. PCs intending to kill Jharod will not find him a particularly dangerous opponent, with only DV 10, PV 0, Hits 15, Attacks 1, Damage 4-11, Speed 100. Jharod is able to rapidly regenerate his wounds [basically requiring one hit kill], however.
