| - The Flaymen are a tribe of monster-like humans that are mentioned in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright, and appears in Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. They lived in the Aulmad, and were named for their habit of skinning their enemies and making clothes of their skin. Flaymen were brutal and impulsive, ruled by passions rather than reason. They acted more like a wild mob than an organized group, and would squabble with their fellows over a piece of rotten meat. But they were dangerous foes, charging into combat with whoops of maniacal glee, even when heavily outnumbered. Each of them had a long, thin, curving sword strappeed to their thigh. The skins had been randomly stitched together into clothing of highly uneven quality, with mismatched skin colors and textures. They wore grotesque masks made of human faces, with four faces sewn together per mask. The flaymen were bitter foes of the facestretchers, who considered the flaymen to be "low-down butchering meat cutters", and regarded their crude garments with scorn.
