The Model Viewer is a type of menu used to look over a 3D representation of an object, as well as include a detailed description of the object. Although it primarily pertained to weapons and equipment, it also included to some extent characters and unforms/camouflage. The Model Viewer appeared in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and its various expansions and remakes, as well as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, although the last one was to a lesser extent. In addition, some of the items in the latter game (notably the product placement items and their overseas replacements) do not have any interactivity despite technically having a model viewer window.
