Bert Henderson was a farmer who was seen walking out of Oleson's Mercantile. Lars Hanson told him that his lumber order from the mill would be ready soon. Bert explained that he had already bought the lumber for a cheaper price, from Sam and George Galender. The Galender brothers sold the lumber to him for a cheaper price because they had originally bought it from Mr. Hanson on credit, saying they had a bank note coming.
