Quando poi Fudou e i compagni rubano anche la seconda tomba, il Team Yamato si getta all'inseguimento, insieme a Chiriku e Sora che localizzano le 4 bare rubate in una valle. Mentre Chiriku rimane indietro, gli altri cadono in una trappola: Fudou e i predoni riescono con la tecnica della ruota della rfrtuna, ad intrappolare tutti e a dividerli. Così Tenzo, Sai e Naruto incontrano rispettivamente Fudou, Fuen e Fuka. Fodou si scontra con Tenzo utilizzando la tecnica dell'inferno delle formiche che consiste nel portare sotto terra l'avversario creando sabbie mobili sotto i piedi di esso. Tenzo sembra in grande difficoltà, in quanto è costretto a schivare gli attacchi del nemico. Infatti la resistenza e la forza di Fudou sembrano quasi imbattibili e Tenzo non riesce a trovare un punto debole. Fudou intrappola, poi, Tenzo nella roccia e si allontana, credendo di averlo sconfitto. Il ninja però riesce a liberarsi passando attraverso alla pietra e a raggiungere il team. In seguito Fudou aiuta Fuka insieme a Fuen, ma sono costretti alla ritirata, in quanto sul posto sono giunti Chiriku e gli altri monaci del Tempio del Fuoco. Più tardi attacca Konoha con gli altri predoni, creando una barriera intorno al villaggio per imprigionare i ninja di Konoha. Stavolta il team si ritrova come sostegno Sora, il figlio di Kazuma che sembra confuso e fugge da Naruto e Asuma. Fudou si ritrova di nuovo contro Tenzo che stavolta riuscirà a batterlo con una tecnica di terra: Tenzo crea delle sabbie mobili e, dopo averlo imprigionato, lo schiaccia, con l'arte del legno, all'interno di un albero.

Diesen glaubte er gewonnen zu haben, als er Yamato durch einige Felsen einsperrte, doch entkam dieser später, da auch er das Erd-Element beherrscht. Beim Angriff auf Konohagakure hinderte Fudou Yamato daran, sich Seito in den Weg zu stellen und kämpfte so erneut gegen Yamato. Doch verlor er dieses Mal den Kampf, als Yamato ihn in einem Baum einsperrte und in diesem zerquetschte.

Fudou survived an onslaught from Raoh, driven by the love of his children. This profound love and sadness caused Raoh to recoil in fear, but his men fired at Fudou instead and killed him, much to Raoh's fury and shame.
