  • Ming Toy, a character of the fictional Left Behind series, is a believer and in a position of authority in the Global Community. Working at BFFR ("buffer"), the Belgium Facility for Female Rehabilitation. She is 22 at the mid-point of the Tribulation. She is a widow after losing her husband in a train crash the day of the rapture. She helps Leah Rose escape when she comes to try to get Hattie Durham out of Buffer. In The Indwelling she is assigned to New Babylon for Nicolae Carpathia's funeral. There she is reunited with her family, including Chang Wong (also a believer) and her mother and father who are fans of Nicolae Carpathia. There she also meets up with David Hassid and Annie Christopher. Later in the books she goes under disguise as a male Peacekeeper to go to China to find her parents. There she finds out that her father was killed for refusing the Mark of the Beast, and that both him and her mother (who is alive and hiding) became believers. Also in China an angel tells her that nether she nor her mother will die before the return of Christ. She later moves to Petra where she marries Ree Woo, a pilot for the co-op.
