On 12 March 2017, C1R revealed that Yulia would represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song Flame is Burning, however it was announced on 22 March 2017 that a travel ban was issued against her, barring her from entering Ukraine to be part of the contest. She would have been the second wheelchair-bound participant in the contest after Monika KuszyĆska took part for Poland in 2015. C1R later announced that Yulia could potentially compete in 2018.
