Zechariah Barashi (1900? - 6 March 2017) was a Jewish longevity claimant to age 117. Said to be born in 1900 in what is now Iraqi Kurdistan (then part of the Ottoman Empire), Barashi migrated to what became the modern state of Israel in 1936. His Jewish ID card gave his year of birth as 1900, with no date of birth specified. At his death, he was a claim to "oldest living man", though not "world's oldest person" as Emma Morano was born in 1899.
