Marc Hladovka (Bratislava, 1880 - Hurbanova, 1959) was mayor of Hurbanova from 1900 to 1908 and the second governor of Oceana from 1907 to 1909. He went to Lovia in 1884, when he was only three years old. His father was unemployed in Slovakia, but he heard stories about Hurbanova and decided to go. He soon found a job in the coal mines and brought his family over to Lovia.
