  • Trucks are the normal, everyday vehicle that carries supplies from one place to another. There are two types of trucks: a moving truck which carries a typical assortment of supplies, and the ambulance which tends to have a smattering of medkits as well. Trucks can be dangerous, but always move from northeast to southwest. They can be avoided all together by staying on the sidewalk or moving along a verticle street.

  • Your truck’s condition will deteriorate gradually as you travel your route. Crashing your truck by falling asleep at the wheel or by driving too fast in severe weather will cause your trucks condition to deteriorate significantly. A crash also costs the driver a negative 1/2 point (.5) to their driver rating. It must then be repaired at the cost of a fatigue point.
  • Trucks act like the the axle for a skateboard. Trucks are the metal T-shaped part that mounts onto the underside of the skateboard deck, that the wheels will be attached to. A regular skateboard will have two trucks, each facing each other.

  • Trucks act like the the axle for a skateboard. Trucks are the metal T-shaped part that mounts onto the underside of the skateboard deck, that the wheels will be attached to. A regular skateboard will have two trucks, each facing each other. Each truck is made up of a hanger, two bushings, two washers and the mounting nut. The axle runs through the hanger, which is attached to the baseplate with the kingpin. The kingpin runs through the bushings and washers. They cushion the hanger as it turns. The tighter the kingpin, the stiffer the turns. A looser kingpin will provide tighter turns, yet less stability.

A crash also costs the driver a negative 1/2 point (.5) to their driver rating. It must then be repaired at the cost of a fatigue point. Your truck is also prone to random mechanical failures as you travel along your route. The odometer on your truck plays a role in how often these random mechanical failures occur with higher mileage vehicles more susceptible to higher odds of failure.
