It is an observer of the Eurasian Economic Community, the Non-Aligned Movement and Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation. Lernik Izmirlian currently serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs. The main factors defining Hayastan foreign policy consist from geopolitical location, decreasing population, economic crisis, and ties with Hayastani diaspora throughout the world. Hayastan is landlocked between Georgia, Iran and Turkey so Armenia has to maintain good relations at least with Iran and Georgia though international pressure against trade with Iran and while separatist tends of Hayastani minority in the Georgian province of Javakheti.
