| - "Yes, Captain. Commander Chris Fowner." Calvin hit the comm button on his chair. "Chris, you down there?" he said into the speaker. A voice came through. "Y-y-yes sir," he stuttered. "We got a little bit of a problem down here. A temporal rift is forming inside the warp core." "What do you mean?" asked Calvin. "I mean what I said. We've got a temporal rift inside the warp core," Fowner replied. "How?" asked Calvin. "I don't know sir. It just can't happen." Silence fell over the bridge. "Greetings," one said, holding out his hand. "We are the Surolovs."

We've got a temporal rift inside the warp core," Fowner replied. "How?" asked Calvin. "I don't know sir. It just can't happen." Silence fell over the bridge. Suddenly, a mysterious sound came out of engineering. It sounded like some sort of cat's meow. A second later, Fowner and the engineering crew found themselves on a strange planet in the far future, surrounded by cat-like creatures. "Greetings," one said, holding out his hand. "We are the Surolovs." The strange aliens, Surolovs, were wearing uniforms similar to Starfleet's and spoke Federation standard, so Fowner made the assumption that they were allied with the Federation. "Hello," Fowner said with a smile. "We are from the United Federation of Planets, in the 25th century." "We know," said another Surolov, stepping out from behind. "Bw'lat, you are needed on the observation tower," said yet another. He seemed puzzled by the presence of humans, but then ignored them. "We need you," Bw'lat continued. "Without you, the end, Armageddon, is here."
