Synopsis
| - Inside of an old derelict amusement park several of Impulse's "scouts" dart about as Bart himself is trapped within an inescapable magical cage being hit repeatedly by a large phantom hammer causing more "scouts" to be spawned.
Looking around Barry can see myriad items of no discernible origin including a giant ice-cream, green motorbike and a TV featuring the altered Young Justice. He also spies Bedlam who is enraged at having been put into a coma for two years by Young Justice.
Bedlam's plan is to rewrite history using Impulse's time-travelling "scouts" to prevent certain events from unfolding, thus not allowing for the creation of Young Justice as it was. One of Impulse's "scouts", in a display of their limited intelligence, grabs the suit of Kid Flash which is then thrown onto a discard pile by Bedlam.
In frustration at the hammer repeatedly hitting the box, Bart dashes forwards at one wall which causes the box to move too - away from the hammer. He sends out a "scout" of his own for reconnaissance and it returns with information about Bedlam; after being chosen to be a conduit for the genie and his subsequent defeat, then he witnesses Red Tornado convince the genie to grant itself the gift of humanity - however, the magic it once possessed then transferred itself to Matthew Stuart and awoke him from the coma.
Now, with time to think, Bart theorises that the box's magic might be configured only to stop Impulse from passing through, not Kid Flash. He then passes through and, leaving a "scout" to impersonate himself, attempts to find the other members of Young Justice.
