| - Dervish posesses the power of super speed. Stephanie and Cassandra tried to save Harley Quinn from a team of Jokerized (infected with venom from The Joker, driving them insane) villains in Joker: Last Laugh (3). They included Carnivora, Dervish, Killer Frost and Phobia. Dervish was primarily responsible for beating Batgirl, and the pair were captured along with Harley. Fortunately, they got rescued by Power Girl.

- Dervish was Rhekarid's second character. The character's final record was 3 wins and 3 losses, which would remain the creator's best until the tenth submitted character, Permanence. This status would lead to later references and remakes, including The Collectors, a never-submitted remake, and The Blood Man. The character sheet and portrait are currently lost.

- A Dervish or Darvesh (from Arabic or Persian درویش, Darvīsh) is someone treading a Sufi Muslim ascetic path or "Tariqah". Dervishes are known for their extreme poverty and austerity, similar to mendicant friars in Christianity or sadhus in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Dar in Persian means "a door", so Dervish literally means "one who opens the doors". The word is also related to terms for "ascetic" in some languages, as in the Urdu phrase darwaishana thabiyath, "an unflappable or ascetic temperament".

- The Dervish is a melee profession first introduced in Guild Wars Nightfall. Dervishes are clothed in robes, which include bracers over each hand and hoods that symbolize their humility to the gods. Described as "a scythe-wielding holy warrior", they are a close-range profession capable of hitting multiple opponents and utilizing enchantments to deal damage, inflict conditions, and protect and heal themselves. Many of their abilities strike multiple foes, allowing them to be fierce combatants on the battlefield.
