abstract	Bren ap-Avid, a Lorrdian male, was the founder of the Lorrd Freedom League. A commanding officer in the Lorrd Defense Force during the Clone Wars, he was responsible for organizing demonstrations against the Galactic Empire after the assassination of Senator Nee Alavar and the disbanding of the planetary militias. He led the Freedom League in its rebellion against the Empire until his death in 15 BBY during the Siege of Qatamer. In death, Bren was a martyr to his people much like Senator Alavar. During Lorrd's second rebellion, his image and words were used as a symbol against the Empire and in the third uprising, his daughter Adila was often compared to Bren as a compliment.
