Biography
  • Doug Reid is a former NASCAR driver from Pleasant Grove, AL. He competed in nine Nationwide Series events in his career. Reid's debut came in 1997, when he finished a career-best 56th in points. Reid's debut came at Daytona, starting 23rd and staying out of trouble to finish 28th. Unfortunately, that would be one of the few highlights in his season, failing to finish two of his seven starts that year but only cracking the top-thirty just three times. Those top-thirties were the Daytona run, a 29th at Rockingham and a career-best 27th place run at Talladega. Reid's lone 1998 start came at Texas, starting 36th in the Whitaker Racing Chevrolet. Unfortunately, Reid lasted just three laps before getting caught up in an early crash to finish in 42nd. Reid's final career start came in 2000, when he competed at South Boston. Starting last in the field, Reid lasted just a quarter of the race before an engine issue left him in 41st. External Links *Stats
