The Celgalen (S."Silver-green River") was a river in Anfalas which flew south through the Pinnath Gelin to the sea. A bridge crossed the Celgalen at Serelond near its mouth, above which it could only be navigated by coracles and other small boats. The herdsmen of the Pinnath Galen often used the former to transport wool downstream to the capital at Lond Galen, taking only a day and a half to follow the fifty mile course of the river. During the early spring season, when run-off from the White Mountains overflew the Celgalen's banks, rendering river travel dangerous, the Men Galen, which followed the river course, could be used instead.
