Legends of the Ring will be the third pay-per-view under the banner of the All-Star Alliance. The Alliance had decided to follow up the very successful All-Star Alliance: Battlefield with a Legends of Wrestling Tournament. However, with the announcement of the Night of Champions VII: Canada Cup, which will also be a tournament, the card was changed. There are six singles matches set to take place and the main event, the six winners from the earlier matches will compete in a special gauntlet match. Two men start the match. After a fall is scored, the time is set. The next out must beat the time in order to advance (and set a new time to beat). If the time is not beaten, the participant who set the time continues. The winner will be named The Legend of the Ring.
