Prana (プラーナ purāna) is the life force of human beings. During the events of Genesis of Aquarion, the Shadow Angels sent out harvest beasts to capture human beings en masse so that their prana could be used to nourish the Tree of Life. Most commonly, the victims would be brought directly to the Tree itself and then physically fused with its structure. However, some harvest beasts were specialized to drain the prana directly from their prey, negating the need to bring living victims back to the tree.

  • Ayurvedic definition for "Life force" Prana from food provides the body’s reservoir of this long-term life force.
  • Prana is the Chakobsa word for "nerve". The term was typically used by the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood when referring to control of the nervous system. The word was often used in conjunction with bindu, which meant "muscle". 'Prana' in sanskrit refers to the flow of energy through the system of 'nadis' or channels in the human body. It also means something like 'breath'. Breath-control is a technique used in some kinds of tantric meditation.
  • Prana was used quite differently in the following adventure. In a one-on-one battle with The Void, Musashi went into prana whilst standing, "drawing power from the Earth". When he awoke, the hero had some sort of magical power to rival his foe. The technique allowed him to win the battle and ended the Neo Zeed's hassling of him.
  • Prana was a male individual who served as a king. A pompous and conceited monarch, he was also a collector of exotic and dangerous creatures, which he kept in his own expansive zoo. He had a longstanding rivalry with another royal, Regent Solculvis of the Mol'leaj system, who maintained a similar facility. At the time of the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance, Prana hired the smuggler Han Solo to collect three rathtars, dangerous tentacled predators, for his personal zoo in an effort to outdo Solculvis. When Solo failed to deliver the rathtars, however, Prana was left unhappy and word spread as far as Takodana.
  • Prana (प्राण, prāṇa) is the Sanskrit word for "life force"; in yoga, Indian medicine, and martial arts, the term refers to a cosmic energy believed to come from the sun and connecting the elements of the universe. The universal principle of energy or force, responsible for the body's life, heat and maintenance, prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifest in the universe. This life energy, prana (प्राण) has been vividly invoked and described in Vedas. In Ayurveda, tantra and Tibetan medicine "praṇā vāyu" is the basic vāyu (wind, air) from which all the other vāyus arise.
