The Kuiper Belt is a galactic location mentioned in WALL•E. It is the area where the Space Tours would start. It is unknown if the Kuiper Belt was just the Axiom's destination or if the other BNL Starliners and Executive Starliners went to other places in the galaxy. It is "the enigmatic frontier of our solar system, where fragments of our primordial planetary disc still wait to be explored." In the film, the Kuiper Belt is depicted as a dark interstellar cloud, while in real life, it is an Asteroid Belt-like region located just beyond the orbit of Neptune and contains a majority of the Solar System's dwarf planets like Pluto, Eris, Haumea, and Makemake.

- The Kuiper Belt was a region of the Sol system beyond the orbit of Neptune containing many small bodies. In 2369, the USS Bozeman was in the Kuiper Belt for tests on its new systems. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
- A Kuiper belt was a field of celestial bodies that lies beyond the main planets of a solar system. In 2155, the Kiri-kin-tha rescued Trip Tucker from the Kuiper belt of the Tezel-Oroko star system. (ENT - The Romulan War novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
- The Kuiper belt is a part of the solar system that contains hundreds of ice dwarfs, including the previously-designated ninth planet, Pluto. (SGA: "Brain Storm") File:Proclarush.JPG This article about a planet or location is a stub. You can help Stargate Command by expanding it.
- The Kuiper Belt is the belt surrounding the solar system and mostly consists of icy planetiods and comets beyond Pluto.
- The Kuiper Belt is an 'Asteroid Belt' at the end of our solar system, out past Neptune. Pluto and the other members are composed of mainly rock and ice.
- The Kuiper belt is an asteroid belt in our Solar System located slightly beyond Pluto. It's made up of remenants of the formation of the Solar System, and perhaps some stuff from other parts of the Universe.
- The kuipers along with oorts were around the edges of a typical solar system. It was a good idea to step over them if you were working on the power unit since they could "freeze your ankles off if you gave them half a chance".
- The Kuiper belt (pronounced /ˈkaɪpɚ/, to rhyme with "viper"), sometimes called the Edgeworth-Kuiper belt, is a region of the Solar System beyond the planets extending from the orbit of Neptune (at 30 AU) to approximately 55 AU from the Sun. It is similar to the asteroid belt, although it is far larger -- 20 times as wide and 20–200 times as massive. Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of small bodies (remnants from the Solar System's formation). It is home to at least three dwarf planets – Pluto, Haumea and Makemake. But while the asteroid belt is composed primarily of rock and metal, the Kuiper belt objects are composed largely of frozen volatiles (dubbed "ices"), such as methane, ammonia and water.
- In 2375, Odo and Weyoun 6 attempted to evade pursuing Jem'Hadar attack ships by hiding in a Kuiper belt, taking their runabout, the USS Rio Grande, into the interior of a large chunk of ice and powering down. The Jem'Hadar forced them out of hiding by destroying every large ice chunk in range. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River")

Since the first was discovered in 1992, the number of known Kuiper belt objects (KBOs) has increased to over a thousand, and more than 70 000 KBOs over 100 km in diameter are believed to reside there. The Kuiper belt was initially believed to be the main repository for periodic comets, those with orbits lasting less than 200 years. However, studies since the mid-1990s have shown that the Kuiper belt is dynamically stable, and that it is the farther scattered disc, a dynamically active region created by the outward motion of Neptune 4.5 billion years ago, that is their true place of origin. Scattered disc objects such as Eris are KBO-like bodies with extremely large orbits that take them as far as 100 AU from the Sun. The centaurs, comet-like bodies that orbit among the gas giants, are believed to originate there. Neptune's moon Triton is believed to be a captured KBO. Pluto, a dwarf planet, is the largest known member of the Kuiper belt. Originally considered a planet, it is similar to many other objects of the Kuiper belt, and its orbital period is identical to that of the KBOs known as "Plutinos". The Kuiper belt should not be confused with the hypothesized Oort cloud, which is a thousand times more distant. The objects within the Kuiper belt, together with the members of the scattered disc and any potential Hills cloud or Oort cloud objects, are collectively referred to as trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs).

The Jem'Hadar forced them out of hiding by destroying every large ice chunk in range. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River") According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 447) , the Kuiper belt was a reservoir for short-period comets. This was in comparison to the Oort cloud, which was a reservoir for long-period comets. This astronomical object was named for the Dutch-born American astronomer Gerard Kuiper (1905-1973). He was best known for his study of the surface of Earth's moon, his discovery of Miranda and Nereid, and his discovery of the atmosphere on Titan.
