Edward Patterson (born November 14, 1972 in Calgary, Alberta) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player, from Calgary, Alberta. His position was right wing. He played junior hockey for the Seattle Thunderbirds, Swift Current Broncos, and the Kamloops Blazers from 1988 to 1992. Patterson then turned pro with the Cleveland Lumberjacks in 1992-93. Patterson spent the seasons through 1996-97 splitting between the Pittsburgh Penguins and their farm teams. He played in 68 NHL games, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists.

Patterson spent the seasons through 1996-97 splitting between the Pittsburgh Penguins and their farm teams. He played in 68 NHL games, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists. In 1997-98 he joined the Grand Rapids Griffins where he played for three of the next four years, playing in 1998-99 for the Cincinnati Cyclones. Patterson then went to Europe where he played for the Eisbären Berlin and the London Knights. In 2003-04 Patterson signed with the Cardiff Devils as player-coach. Patterson was released as head coach of the Cardiff Devils in the British EIHL during January 2007 in a cost cutting move.
