Kent Ruhnke (born September 18, 1952 in Toronto, Ontario) was a professional ice hockey right winger who played two games in the National Hockey League and 72 games in the World Hockey Association. He played with the Winnipeg Jets and Boston Bruins. He played with the University of Toronto from 1971 to 1976. After the 1975-76 college season was over, he signed a tryout contract with the Boston Bruins and played two games, scoring one assist.

He played with the Winnipeg Jets and Boston Bruins. He played with the University of Toronto from 1971 to 1976. After the 1975-76 college season was over, he signed a tryout contract with the Boston Bruins and played two games, scoring one assist. In 1976 Ruhnke signed with the Winnipeg Jets, then of the World Hockey Association, and played a season and a half. He scored 19 goals and 20 assists in 72 games in that period. He ended the season with the Binghamton Dusters. In 1978-79 Ruhnke went to Germany and played for SC Riessersee. In 1980-81 he was the playing-coach of Zurcher SC in Switzerland. He then retired and became the team's coach until 1983. From 1983 to 1985 Ruhnke was coach of Dalhousie University in Halifax. He then returned to Switzerland and coached there until 1990. He played 2 games in each of the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons as an emergency injury replacement.
