Danièle Montour - or Dany for short - was born to the Chippewa-Cree tribe stationed in the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation found in northern Montana. Dany is a mix of the Ojibwe , Plains Cree, and Métis peoples located on this reservation. Through her Métis ancestry, Dany has French & Scottish fur-trader ancestors who married and procreated with the indigenous Algonquin peoples of North America creating their own unique ethnic group & culture. As such, Dany is an admixture of a variety of indigenous groups to North America as well as to European colonizers.

| - *Dany is a better than average athlete for her age, in large part because of all the times she has spent on her own in the wilderness. She has a fair knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, has enhanced durability, and is a particularly good horseback rider and swimmer.
*Multilingual: Due to her upbringing at the reservation, Dany grew up learning a variety of languages used by the indigenous communities within the reservation: Plains Cree, Southwestern Ojibwe, Michif, & Métis French. Additionally she learned English from the media & schooling.

| - *Line of Sight Limitation: Dany is limited in the use of her power by her need to see the person from whose consciousness she derived her images. She can use her power on a person even if he or she can only be seen by Dany through binoculars. However, she can't draw images from a person who is standing only a few feet from her, but behind something she can't see through. Nor can she derive images from a person whom she sees via live television but who isn't actually within her vicinity.

| - *Oneirokinesis: Dany has the ability of dream manipulation or "dream weaving" according to her tribe. She can create, shape, enter and manipulate the dreams of oneself and others, including modifying, suppressing, fabricating, influencing, manifesting, sensing, and observing dreams as well as nightmares, daydreams, etc., including past ones. She can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming, entrap people in REM, and promote spiritual/emotional healing within dreams. Her power extends to the real world, such as wounds inflicted on a sleeping victim, healed damage affecting the physical form, and other wise blurring the line between waking and dream. She can pull someone from the waking world into the dream world or bring people/things from the dream world into the waking world.
:*Dream Inducement: Dany can induce all kinds of dreams, including good dreams, bad dreams , lucid dreams, daydreams, into others or herself. She is even able to induce hypnagogia in others causing them to experience dreams even if the target started in a wakeful state. She can even use the hypnagogia to induce sleep paralysis in this transitional mental state.
:*Dream Replication & Absorption: Dany can copy and store the dreams of others, immediately gaining access to those dreams. This could be used to learn more about the other dreamer, provided the dream tells anything about the dreamer.
:*Dream Recall: Dany can make anyone/anything perfectly recall/remember every dream they have ever had, including nightmares. Allowing her to overload a target's mind by forcing them to remember every dream they have ever had in perfect detail causing the brains memory capacity to reach its limit and short out, and even cause breakdown or render them catatonic by forcing them to remember all their nightmares.
:*Dream Walking: Dany is capable of entering the dreams of others. She is even able to enter daydreams.
:*Dream Communication: Dany can communicate with other beings through their dreams, allowing her to communicate with others who may be incapable of physical speech or communicate if unable to physically speak.
:*Dream Imprisonment: Dany can create a false reality/illusion in dreams and trap people into either her or the targets dreams/nightmares.
:*Oneiric Constructs: Dany can create anything she wants via her own or others' dreams. Any organism and object in the dream can be materialized into the real world through concentration and personal energy. She can do it while wide awake as she can pull either past dreams or dreams she or others had the night before out of the other persons mind into reality.
:*Oneiric Cognition: user can discern and instantly understand the dreams of other beings. They are able to truly understand the deeper meaning behind the dreams of others and discern the anxieties behind nightmares as well.
:*Oneiric Slaying: Dany has the ability to kill someone in their or the victim's dreams with the ending resulting in the target's death in reality as well. Dany's moral compass keeps her resorting to such measures unless under dire circumstances.
:*Oneiric Empowerment: Dany can become stronger, faster, more durable, etc. from dreams, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers. She candraw sustenance from the dreams, even slowing her aging.
:*Subconscious Manipulation: Dany can implant memories, thoughts and emotions into the minds of others in order to manipulate them. She can manipulate everything hidden inside their or others subconscious, including ideas, wishes or desires, traumatic memories, painful emotions, etc. This allows her to manipulate the hidden aspects of the mind in various ways, for example arrange memories as one desires, awaken secrets and information hidden deep in the subconscious, and give shape to emotions or thoughts hidden inside the mind. She can erase what resides in the subconscious and leave only what they deem "important" making them very strong or very dangerous.

*Dany's spirit guides through her Vision Quests are the horse and black bear. For this reason, these animals hold a special significance to her. It is due to that special bond that her powers create the horse as an embodiment of her good dreams and the black bear as the embodiment of her nightmares.
*Dany discovers that through her Scottish ancestry, she has blood ties back to the Norse people who had settled and intermixed with some Scottish populations.
