The Merte fled into a civilian spaceport called Camen Spaceport, where it met up with two Rebel RZ-1 A-wing interceptors from the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Liberty, one of them being flown by Ace Azzameen. The Rebels defended their allies from a Hurrim pursuit team and managed to escort them back to the Liberty after evading several traps.
