He played junior for Toronto Aura Lee in the 1921-22 OHA Junior Season, scoring 11 goals and 1 assist in 6 games. Scott turned pro the following season with the Toronto St. Pats of the NHL. That was the start of four straight seasons in the league, also playing for the Hamilton Tigers and Montreal Maroons. In 1925-26 Scott split the year between the Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatoon Crescents of the Western Canada Hockey League. The following year Scott went to California where he played over six seasons in the California Hockey League. He retired in 1932.
