| - While the walls are repaired, Jon asks Maester Lucas about the Citadel. "It's overwhelming. You can study anything. History. Mathematics. Poisons."
- Say that you're going to go, whether or not your [lord/lady] allows it.
- Wonder what the life of a novice is like.
- "You have always been my best student, Jon. I know nothing makes you happier," Lucas says. "But your [lord/lady] would have to agree."
- "I always wanted to serve a great lord," Maester Lucas says. "I studied medicine, philosophy, history. I never had the knack for poisons or alchemy."
- Ask if Maester Lucas thinks you would make a good novice.
- Say that you want to study the White Walkers, find a way to stop them.
- Ask what Maester Lucas studied while at the Citadel.
- Say that you want to serve [Your Holdings], but you need the Citadel's knowledge to do so.
- "There are more novices that maesters," Lucas warns. "Most leave within a few years. You have to stay to do more than skim the surface of knowledge."
