  • File:Q2.png Having crash landed and become separated from his squad, Stepchild finds himself deep underground, in what seems to be a Strogg mining complex. He is aware from an emergency in-flight communication that something has increased the planet's gravitational pull, and his command ship, the Deimos, is caught helpless in its grasp. Before Stepchild can find and disable the gravity field's generator, he must first make his way up to the planet surface, after completing several other objectives in order to weaken the Strogg defenses. His first objective, before he can leave the mines, is to locate and destroy the Tectonic Stabilizer - a massive device located in one of the nearby caverns.
