- "Yellow Submarine", the popular Beatles song which became #2 hit in 1966, was used on several early season episodes of Sesame Street. In the Sesame Street version, Bob dresses three Anything Muppets (Pumpkin, Fat Blue, and Purple) who scoot off to their submarine, where they party with other Muppets (including Beautiful Day Monster, a bearded hippie, and Cookie Monster). The song taught the color yellow and how to get along with others. Performers:

It was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (Lennon–McCartney). Lead vocals were performed by Ringo Starr.

- Yellow Submarine is a 1968 animated feature film based on the music of The Beatles. It is also the title for the soundtrack album to the feature film, released as part of The Beatles' music catalogue. The film was directed by Canadian-born animation producer George Dunning, and produced by United Artists and King Features Syndicate. The Beatles themselves appear only in the closing scene of the film.
