| - Dragonites are a variety of creatues that are related or similar to Dragons, but are not 'real' dragons. This category most prominently includes the hybrids created as soldiers by The Empire before World War Zero and native to Metropolis. These are mostly human in their ordinary lives, but can take the Dragonite human-dragon hybrid form via their Fusion ability. The Dragoons were part of a whole series of artificial -ite species created during the war (such as Angelites, Demonites, Mechanites and Humanites) and apparently died out or mutated to Bestias at the end of the war. Note that Dragonites are not simply human-dragon hybrids (as covered by the Dragoon and Half-Dragon articles), but specifically a hybrid form of mixed dragonic and human traits that such hybrids can take and in which they are not necessarily all the time - it may well be possible for a half-dragon, especially a dragoon, to exhibit very little draconic traits, or none at all, in every-day life. The Dragonite form is taken by the use of the Fusion ability, which fuses the lifeforce of the Dragoon with that of his or her dragon. For natural half-dragons, the matter is different - it is expected that they show draconic traits at any time, to a lesser or greater extent, and their appearance may not be subject to such voluntary (or involuntary) alterations as that of the Dragoon, meaning they will be permanently in a Dragonite form. The Dragonite category covers other dragon-derived beings that often show a mixture of traits, such as the Dragonfly, Dragon Turtle and Sirrush.
