| - Yurika is a 15-year-old friend of Jirô and accompanies him to the cryogenics research lab for a visit. There, they are shown around by Kazuko, but when an earthquake strikes they are forced to seek refuge in the cryogenic chambers. They awake in another era where apes have replaced humans. Yurika has to endure capture, imprisonment, escape and pursuit at the hands of the apes, led by Gebâ, but they eventually are shown a way to return to their own time. Finding themselves once again at home, they are astinished to be told that their six-month adventure in fact can only have lasted the seven days they were buried in rubble. In the heavily-edited and English-dubbed version, "Time of the Apes", she was renamed "Caroline". Image:Totatitle.jpg
