Ussuriysk was an arctic planet in the Deep Core. Having a long history, the world was originally settled by the Rakatans of the Infinite Empire in 30,000 BBY. However, in 27,000 BBY, a rebellion by the Ussuri natives overthrew the Rakatan colonial overseers and the world became forgotten. Over the years, exiles, explorers, refugees, adventurers, and people who simply wanted new lives fled into the Deep Core and eventually stumbled upon the world. The locals accepted the new comers warmly, after hearing that they too were oppressed by the Rakata at some point and overthrew them. In 35 BBY, the Supreme Chancellor learned about the planet. However, in 27,000 BBY, a rebellion by the Ussuri natives overthrew the Rakatan colonial overseers and the world became forgotten. Over the years, exiles, explorers, refugees, adventurers, and people who simply wanted new lives fled into the Deep Core and eventually stumbled upon the world. The locals accepted the new comers warmly, after hearing that they too were oppressed by the Rakata at some point and overthrew them. In 35 BBY, the Supreme Chancellor learned about the planet. Interested, Palpatine encouraged the government of Ussuriysk to join the Republic, after which he made a storehouse on the planet. During the Clone Wars, it was briefly occupied by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, but they were eradicated by a strike force under Jedi Master Aayla Secura. Afterwards, Ussuriysk joined the Galactic Empire. During the Great Jedi Purge, at least four Jedi hid on the planet successfully, since the only presence the Empire had there was the storehouse and it was rarely visited by Palpatine. The world saw no action during the Galactic Civil War and was once again forgotten, until Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia Organa Solo visited Ussuriysk shortly after the Battle of Endor. It became a member of the New Republic, though later joined the Imperial Remnant and the Fel Empire much afterward.
