Eshnadesh, Madimu and Mardina are three ancient and loosely allied city-states, much like Tarloc and Frostkeep, but in a more Arabic flair. The three cities have a reputation for being stubborn, brave and having a ‘never give up attitude’, as they have been attacked by many monsterous races, including undead, minotaurs, ogres, a dragon and fish-people, as well as pirates and various human nations from across the sea to the north. Humans have lived in cities here for at least three thousand years, making these some of the oldest human settlements still populated on the southern continent. The cities has on occasion been conquered by other nations, and sometimes been under the single rule of one united empire, that has stretched as far north as Livarthia, but nowadays are fairly peaceful cit
