| - A federal general election was held in the Federation of Zardugal on Saturday December 13, 3332. All 750 seats to the 13th Congress of Zardugal were up for election, as was the Presidency and all five State governorships. The governing New Democratic Party went into the election hoping to win a second majority government for the first time in its history, following its decisive election win three years previously. NDP leader and Prime Minister Michael Dowdy faced off against Conservative Republican Party leader Marget Thatem for a final time in his bid to be re-elected. Going into the election, both leaders were conscious of the fact that a ruling party had only been returned with a second majority twice since the 3302 constitutional reforms, in 3318 and 3308 (both elections won by the Federalist Party. When the country went to the polls, the NDP won only a slightly reduced majority of 44 seats, a net loss of five on their last election result. The uneven result of the election meant the party even manged to unseat seven sitting Conservatives. The party also held all three of the State governorships it had picked up at the previous election in 3329, leaving the CRP stronghold of Ingomu as the only region of the Federation without an NDP administration for another three years. NDP President Karen Sosa was re-elected to another term with 52.7% of the popular vote. Thatem resigned soon after the elections, aware that she could not survive a challenge to her authority after several consecutive defeats at the hands of the NDP.
