An Urple Cloud is a rare occurrence in badfic caused by excessive urple prose. It has only been observed a few times, and is still under investigation by the Floating Hyacinth; given that it first appeared in a Bad Slash mission, it is likely that she notified the Queen Anne's Lace at some point in her investigation.

  • An Urple Cloud is a rare occurrence in badfic caused by excessive urple prose. It has only been observed a few times, and is still under investigation by the Floating Hyacinth; given that it first appeared in a Bad Slash mission, it is likely that she notified the Queen Anne's Lace at some point in her investigation. The first agents to observe an Urple Cloud speculated that it might be sentient—or at least intelligent—given its responses to the changes in the Word World and reactions to the agents' interference, but it is unknown whether or not they were correct. In one of the more recent sightings, an Urple Cloud was seen on Arda during the fall of Gondolin, where it was indiscriminately consuming any elves and orcs it came across.
