- The Blue Fairy is the tetartagonist in Disney's 1940 film Pinocchio. She is a magical being and Pinocchio's protector who, fulfilling Gepetto's wish, transforms Pinocchio into a living creature, and later into a real boy. She also aids Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket throughout the heroes adventure, both directly and from afar. One of only two female characters in the film (the other being Cleo), she is nevertheless one of the most powerful characters in the cast; it is the Blue Fairy who initially grants Pinocchio life, and who ultimately decides whether or not the puppet should become a real boy. The Blue Fairy is animated by Jack Campbell from live-action footage of Marge Champion, and voiced by Evelyn Venable. She has since been currently voiced by Rosalyn Landor.
- Andrew Lang's Fairy Books — also known as Andrew Lang's "Coloured" Fairy Books or Andrew Lang's Fairy Books of Many Colors — are a series of twelve collections of fairy tales, published between 1889 and 1910. Each volume is distinguished by its own color. In all, 437 tales from a broad range of cultures and countries are presented. Although Lang only ever used color as a distinction for the title of the book, the titles have been given characteristics of their own over the years and used as stock characters (most famously by Disney and, most recently, by the ABC series, Once Upon a Time).

- The Blue Fairy turned Pinocchio into a real boy.
- The Blue Fairy is a major character in the 1940 Disney animated feature film Pinocchio. She is a magical being who, fulfilling Geppetto's wish, transforms Pinocchio into a living being and later into a real boy. She also aids Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket throughout their adventures, both directly and from afar. One of only two female characters in the film (the other being Cleo), she is nevertheless one of the most powerful characters in the cast; it is she who initially grants Pinocchio life and who ultimately decides whether or not he should become a real boy.
- The Blue Fairy is famous for being the one to grant Pinocchio's wish to be a real boy. It would appear that she has very powerful magic and can grant essentially any wish. She goes by the name Blue Farrah and works as a waitress at the Blue Plate Special, a diner that she owns. The Grimms search for her in order to have the Vorpal Blade put back into one piece so that they can kill the Jabberwocky that began terrorizing the town with Red Riding Hood.
- Reul Ghorm, better known as the Blue Fairy, is a supporting character on Once Upon a Time. She was the leader of the fairies in the fairytale world, and presumably the most powerful creature in all the land, capable of performing the most exquisite enchantments. She was responsible for indirectly instilling in Rumplestiltskin the idea of creating a curse that would transport everyone in her world to a different one, a curse that was later brought forth by the evil Queen Regina. In Storybrooke, the Blue Fairy's counterpart became the Mother Superior, the leader of the local nuns.
- The Blue Fairy is a level 32 type field mob. It can be found in Laksy Field, Laksy East.
- When a 90 year old Luigi was regretful of never having a son, he wished upon a star that his existence would finally show a purpose. The Blue Fairy brought a wooden puppet to life and assigned Jiminy Cricket as his "conscience" since Pinocchio is such an unscrupulous sociopath. She later found Pinocchio trapped in Stromboli's wagon where she gave him an unnecessary lecture on lying.
