He was very skeptical about the mental state of King Rodric, and when he hosted Duke Borric and his party on his way to Rillanon, he shared his concerns about it. He also stated the increased influence of Guy du Bas-Tyra to the King, feeling that as Guy's star rises, his own fall even more. He was later executed at the King's orders and his family escaped to Kesh.
