Together with Skellen and Rience, Bonhart tried to hunt her down on Vilgefortz's order. Eventually, she escaped to Tor Zireael. At the Stygga castle, Bonhart killed Cahir, and then he himself died at the sword of Ciri.

Poprvé se s ním setkáváme v Křestu ohněm, kde lovec lidí udělá značný dojem i na Stefana Skellena, který jej najímá na vraždu Falky (Ciri). Ve Věži vlaštovky si pak počká na bandu Potkanů v osadě Žárlivost a až na Ciri je všechny pozabíjí. Ciri nechá naživu a přinutí ji bojovat v aréně svého starého přítele, kupce a zvrhlíka Houvenagela. Nakonec, po tom, co zjistí, kdo Ciri ve skutečnosti je, ji přivede ke Stefanu Skellenovi; Ciri ale stačí uprchnout dříve než rozhodnou o jejím osudu. Bonhart a Skellenova banda i s Vilgefortzovým služebníkem Riencem pak téměř Ciri dopadnou u jezera Tarn Mira, Ciri ale stačí včas uniknout portálem ve Věži vlaštovky. Bonhart se přesune se zbytkem Skellenovy bandy na Vilgefortzovo sídlo na hradě Stygga, kde jeho násilný zájem upoutá uvězněná Yennefer. Po přepadení hradu Geraltem a jeho přáteli se Bonhart rozhodne zabít Ciri v souboji. Boj se ale naštěstí pro Ciri odehrává na ohořelých trámech vysoko nad zemí, které jí vyhovují výrazně lépe než Bonhartovi. Bonhart je poražen, Ciri navíc předpokládá i jeho zákeřný poslední útok a ukončí jeho život. Konec spoileru.

On racontre qu'il est très froid, avec des yeux inexpressifs souvent assimilés à des yeux de poissons. Il possède trois médaillons de sorceleur : une tête de loup, de chat et de griffon. Il revendique le meurtre de leurs précédents propriétaires. Ses prétentions ne sont pas forcément infondées, compte tenu de ses prouesses à l'épée. Léo Bonhart a été embauché par Stefan Skellen pour tuer Ciri et par le baron Casadei pour la capturer vivante. Bonhart tua la bande des Rats à laquelle appartenait Ciri et leur coupa la tête après leur mort. Il ne tua cependant pas Ciri, mais ne l'apporta pas non plus au baron Casadei, n'accomplissant ainsi aucun de ses contrats. Il l'emprisonna pendant un certain temps, la battit, la maltraita, la drogua avec du fisstech et la força à tuer dans l'arène de Claremont appartenant à son cousin Houvenaghel. Quand Bonhart l'emmena au village Unicorne afin de rencontrer Skellen et Rience, Ciri en profita pour s'échapper grâce à l'aide de Nératine Ceka qui fut tué par Bonhart tandis que Skellen blesse grièvement Ciri avec un orion quand elle s'échappa avec son cheval Kelpie. Plus tard, Ciri se cacha et se soigna dans l'hermitage de Vysogota de Corvo, dans les marais de Pereplut. En compagnie de Skellen et Rience, Bonhart essaya de la retrouver sur l'ordre de Vilgefortz. Finalement, elle s'échapa par Tor Zireael. Au château de Stygg, Bonhart tua Cahir puis il mourut de la main de Ciri.

Stefan Skellen hatte Leo Bonhart angeheuert, um Ciri zu ermorden. Baron Casadei kaufte sich ebenfalles seine Dienste, um Ciri lebend gefangen zu nehmen. Bonhart tötete die Mitglieder von Ciris Rattenbande und enthauptete sie anschließend. Da der Varnhagen-Clan eine Prämie auf die Rattenbande ausgesetzt hatte und Bonhart den Auftrag übernahm, brauchte er ihre Köpfe als Beweis für die Erfüllung der Mission. Ciri nahm er weder gefangen, noch tötete er sie und erfüllte somit nicht die Missionen seiner Auftraggeber. Er sperrte Ciri für einige Zeit ein, schlug und misshandelte sie. Nach einiger Zeit kaufte er Ciri ihr berüchtigtes Schwert Zireael und zwang sie, mit diesem Schwert in Schaukämpfen in Claremont anzutreten, unter anderem gegen einen Gefährten seines Cousins Houvenaghel, dem die Schaukampfarena gehörte. Ciri gelang die Flucht, als Bonhart sich gemeinsam mit Skellen und Rience in dem Dorf Einhürne aufhielt. Daraufhin tötete Bonhart Neratin Ceka und Skellen verletzte Ciri ernsthaft. Doch sie entkam letztendlich, versteckte sich im Sumpf in der Unterkunft des Einsiedlers Vysogota von Corvo. Ein weiteres Mal spürte Bonhart gemeinsam mit Skellen und Rience Ciri im Auftrag von Vilgefortz auf. Schließlich entkam sie nach Tor Zirael. Einmal noch begegneten sich Bonhart und Ciri auf der Burg Stygga, wo er Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Caellach tötete. Er selber starb dann durch die Hand von Ciri, die er auf seine sadistische und unmenschliche Art geliebt hatte.

He possessed three witcher medallions, depicting the heads of a wolf (School of the Wolf), a cat (School of the Cat) and a griffin (School of the Griffin), and claimed to have killed their previous owners. A claim which was not necessarily in doubt, given his prowess with a sword. Bonhart was hired by Stefan Skellen to kill Ciri and by baron Casadei to capture her alive. Bonhart killed the Rats band to which Ciri belonged and cut off their heads after their deaths. He neither killed Ciri, nor brought her to baron Casadei, therefore fulfilling neither of his contracts. He imprisoned her for some time, beating her and drugging her with fisstech. After some time he also bought Ciri her infamous sword Zireael and forced her to kill in the arena at Claremont, which belonged to his cousin Houvenaghel. Ciri escaped Bonhart with the help of Neratin Ceka while they were in the village of Unicorn. Bonhart had gone there to meet with Skellen and Rience. Bonhart then killed Neratin Ceka while Skellen seriously wounded Ciri with an orion as she escaped with her horse, Kelpie. Later, Ciri hid and healed at the hermitage of Vysogota of Corvo in the Pereplut swamp. Together with Skellen and Rience, Bonhart tried to hunt her down on Vilgefortz's order. Eventually, she escaped to Tor Zireael. At the Stygga castle, Bonhart killed Cahir, and then he himself died at the sword of Ciri.
