According to the Congress itself, it considers 'human rights and freedom as highest values', unlike some competing organisations like the Alliance of Terran Republics or the International Monarchist League. Jointly founded in June 3315 by the Grand National Party of Dranland and the Liberal Party of Solentia, the Congress for Liberty has grown to become one of the largest party organisations, with forty-five active members (as of May 3347). The Congress' most powerful organ is the General Convention, which includes a representative from every member party. Its leadership consists of the five-member Executive Council (including the President and Vice President), the General Secretary, and the founding members.
