Soaker is a two-handed artifact weapon in ADOM. It is a jelly slayer, and grants a few resistances (most notably paralyzation resistance) while wielded. In its unidentified form, Soaker takes on the same appearance as regular iron long spears. Prior to ADOM v. 1.2.0 it weighed only 10s, probably due to a typing error in the code[1].

Desirability	Whilst it's not one of the weakest weapons in the game, any one-handed eternium weapon is better than it in terms of damage potential and many adamantium weapons are almost as good. As a two-handed weapon, it also results in a loss of DV as it cannot be used with a shield. For these reasons, even if the PC manages to find it in the early to mid game they are unlikely to use it as a main weapon for long. On the other hand, its resistances to paralyzation and jelly slaying abilities means that it may still be useful for the PC to keep for certain situations — e.g. having to destroy hordes of gelatinous cubes or particularly stone oozes with no reliable ranged tactics. It also makes a good throwing weapon; its use as such is limited by the fact that reloading is required each time it is thrown, though, since it doesn't return afterwards.
