The National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) is a system that enables CDC to collect and publish data concerning nationally notifiable diseases. All 50 states, 5 territories, the District of Columbia, and New York City public-health departments voluntarily report their notifiable disease data to CDC through this system.
