His father, Henry, came from a proud line of fisherman, (Also the reason their last names were 'Netter') and took his job very seriously, fishing out on Wedgeport for a career. His father would often take Eugene and his younger brother and only sibling, Derek, out in the water to teach them the ropes on how to fish, bait, net, you name it. Although Derek idolized fishing, Eugene did not. In fact, the only thing he liked about fishing was that it could provide solid food in his belly. However, his uncle William had a career that intrigued him more than fishing- He was a guardian in the Blades. Though his uncle was away often, when he did get leave he'd return to the Netter home, and talk about all his travels and tales of warfare, and Eugene would often stay up late to hear all the stories he could. This was not Eugene's only aspiration however. His mother, Rosette, was a healer amongst the town, and would often take Eugene aside to show him the ropes, much like his father. Unlike fishing, Eugene had a natural talent for healing, and generally liked the idea of helping others in their times of need. His own choice of career teetered back and forth between following his Uncle William and becoming a soldier, and following his mother and becoming a healer. As he grew, and pondered his future career, he decided that the military life was for him. He became a guardian in the blades, serving as infantry within its ranks. When he was 18, he signed up for a five year term. During his term, he found himself enjoying the career greatly. He had made quite a few friends during the two year contract. In the last year, during a mission, he was ambushed by an attacking bandit, and he ended up breaking both his collar bone and his arm from a mace-strike. When he re-applied for the blades after his first term, after being treated, the medics weren't sure if the bones would hold strong, and so he was rejected. Distraught, Eugene pondered how he could get back into a similar career, keeping up his combat training and assisting his mother as a healer until the present day, having a few months to do so. It is rumored he is viewing each family carefully to choose which he'd like to give his allegience to as a house guard. File:Eugene1.jpg
