- In his youth, Mamoru hands a mysterious boy a rose before he disappears, vowing to bring Mamoru a flower. In the present day, Mamoru meets up with Usagi Tsukino and the Guardian Senshi at the Jindai Botanical Garden. Usagi tries to kiss Mamoru, but when he suspects the other senshi of spying on him, he walks off outside alone.

Jego zachowanie budzi u dziewcząt niepokój, zaś do Mamoru wraca wspomnienie z dzieciństwa – jego przyjaciel o imieniu Fiore...
Media donoszą o planetoidzie, która w najbliższych dniach ma przelecieć w pobliżu Ziemi. Wkrótce miasto atakują krwiożercze rośliny, pozbawiające ludzi energii życiowej i przejmujące władzę nad ich ciałami. Za inwazją okazuje się stać chłopak z ogrodu, Fiore, pozostający pod kontrolą dziwnego kwiatu, w którym Luna rozpoznaje kwiat Xenian, mający już na swoim sumieniu niejedną cywilizację... Usagi i jej przyjaciółki jeszcze raz muszą z użyciem swoich mocy ocalić Ziemię przed zagładą.
