When the Doctor was alone, Jack knocked him unconscious. He tortured the Doctor in an attempt to summon a demon from within him. Jack was shocked to find that the Doctor was an alien. Jack summoned the demon from the Doctor and created a magic circle using graveyard dust to protect himself from it. The Doctor blew some of the dust away and broke the circle.
