The idea for the Koridian Series started as a dream one night while I was in high school. It was a fight between a warrior (our "hero") and a goblin. Then, consciously, the dream expanded into a short story, then a series of short stories, then a plethora of ideas about an entire world. Even though the Koridian Series hasn't actually been written or published yet, there are plotlines for at least 4 novels. There is also enough material for hundreds of other stories to be written, about people and cultures all over the globe, and throughout Elara's history.
