  • The Kansas State Wildcats women's basketball program is the intercollegiate basketball program of the Kansas State University Wildcats. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I, and the team competes in the Big 12 Conference. The team has appeared in 18 NCAA and AIAW tournaments (second-most among Big 12 teams), and was crowned champion of the 2006 Women's National Invitation Tournament. The team's current head coach is Deb Patterson. Patterson has coached Kansas State since 1996, and holds a 265-146 (.645) record as of the conclusion of the 2008-2009 season. She is Kansas State's all-time leader in wins, passing up Judy Akers, who won 206 games. Under Patterson, the team has attended eight NCAA tournaments and won two conference championships.
