When Mandalore Cadden Blackthorne attacked Ordo, Orlin participated in defending the world from the Protectors' forces. It was because of this that he was recognized by Blackthorne as a dedicated follower, and the supercommando was selected as an Alor'ad (Captain) for the Black Brigade. There, he was tasked with leading 150 shock troopers in the front lines during the New Mandalorian Crusade.
