Mynwyedig is named as the father of Custennin the Shepherd in the story of Culhwch and Olwen. He is otherwise unknown. The form that appears in the White Book manuscript is “mhẏnỽẏedic”, the “mh” indicating lenition of a form “Mẏnỽẏedic”. The Red Book instead reads “dyfnedic” which would be a lenited form of the name “Tyfnedic”, to be normalized as “Tyfnedig”.
