- "I'll go ignite the explosives." As soon as the leader said that, he ran off, with a tinderbox in one hand and some powder in another. After a while, he came running back, saying that the boxes would be blown up soon.
Soon, a large boom shook the whole cave. Then a second explosion came shortly after.
- Theodore and Castimir saw each other on the bridge across the Lum. Theodore asked, "Hey, Casty, want to be friends?" Castimir replied, "Why would I want to be friends with a fool?" At the time, every single thing on Castimir's mind involved magic. He was one of the lucky ones who actually got the rune stones, since the Wizard's Tower was running slightly short.
- Eventually, we reached the bustling city that was Varrock. Lagode entered the Blue Moon Inn, with me at his heels. As we entered the bar, I noticed a couple of men looking at me. I stared back at them, wordlessly challenging them to attack me. Taking the bait, one of them stood up, and the three other men followed suit.
"Who're you?" asked the man, who seemed to be the leader of the gang.

- In the middle of the opening, a man stood atop a huge beast, such that had been untameable for many millennia. The old man stood atop a dragon. He wore a ferocious look on his face, not smiling, not happy, but somewhat crazed.
- Thammaron's eyes glittered triumphantly as he looked down at the many eager faces watching him; as an Elder-demon, Thammaron was bigger and stronger than an ordinary demon. "The earthlings will not know we are here... I smell one just above us, unaware of our presence. Stay silent, and we shall feast on meat and blood in the name of Zamorak."
- Alex's eyes widened.
"But sir," he said, "surely you want someone more qualified for this mission? I can't possibly do this alone."
"You are the most qualified, Rakson, because all of our other rangers are dead," said the Commandant.
- It was All Hallow's Eve. Children roamed the cities, trick-or-treating. Almost all the cities. All but Draynor...
